Can Soy Make You Gay?
So, someone mentioned this exact topic and I initiate the article, which I personally believe it the absolute worst thing ever written right now. I wanted to know who really buys into this? Are they the same people that think that gayness can be "cured" and in no way accept that being gay is biological? Is there anyone who does agree that soy can make a boy into a gay man? Enable me also tell, I think that the World Net Daily's reporting is right up there with The Onion in regards of truthfulness, but not remotely as amusuing as The Onion:

There's a slow poison out there that's severely damaging our children and threatening to tear apart our culture. The ironic part is, it's a "health food," one of our most popular.
Now, I'm a health-food guy, a fanatic who seldom allows anything into his kitchen unless it's organic. I express my bias here just so you'll know I'm not anti-health food.
The threatening food I'm speaking of is soy. Soybean products are feminizing, and they're all over the place. You can hardly escape them anymore
Does eating soy make you gay?
Whack-a-Mole1
I was surprised to learn that soybeans contain an estrogen like substance which many claim makes soy products unhealthy.
Googling it I cam across the article: Soy is making kids ‘gay’
To be perfectly transparent I do not believe that and the site is World Net Daily which is, in my opinion, a hugely untrustworthy site. (If they said the sun rises in the East I’d get up early tomorrow morning to double check.)
Still, my Googling only confused me. I found various facts that said you should generally evade soy products (a little won’t hurt) to it is not a large deal at all unless you are a woman with hormone sensitive breast cancer and you eat lots of it.
So, anyone acquire the Straight Dope on this? I enjoy soy products in various foods and things such as edamame but I really enjoy women and perform not want to become gay.

Well, I depend heavily for health suggestion on the chairman of “Megashift Ministries” - he knows all that stuff that They Don’t Want You To Know.
Except the soy scare is garbage. It’s hard to pick out the most ludicrous part of this guy’s screed, but probably it’s the part about babies on
Debunking the ‘Soy Boy’ Myth, With Science
In the last decade, a new pejorative has emerged for men perceived as insufficiently masculine: “soy boy.” The term implies that soy consumption “feminizes” men by altering their hormonal stabilize — a flatly incorrect claim rooted in a complete misunderstanding of biology. It’s worth taking some time to debunk the “soy boy” myth, as the term is both scientifically inaccurate and reinforces toxic norms about gender, race and masculinity.
The Fake Claims of ‘Soy Boy’ Fears
While there’s no official definition of the term, believers of the “soy boy” archetype generally allege that eating soy does one or more of the tracking things:
- Raises men’s estrogen levels
- Lowers men’s testosterone levels
- Causes men to exposure sexual dysfunction or decreased libido
- Increases a man’s risk of getting breast cancer
- Causes men to increase breasts
As a result of these alleged side effects, men who eat soy effectively become emasculated, or “feminized” — so the story goes, at least. But is this really the case?
No, it isn’t. Study after study has debunked these claims. Eating soy has no effect on men’s hormone levels or sex drives, doesn’t c

December 19, 2006,
Last week’s column (“Soy is making kids ‘gay’”) got a lot of attention
Perhaps fewer than 10 percent of us are aware that soybeans are a hotly debated topic in medical circles today. Soy products – eaten, drunk, and slipped into thousands of commercial products – are rightly being blamed for a horrendous variety of medical conditions, several of them nearing epidemic status and a few of them irreversible. Pediatricians and other doctors are starting to see a growing celebration of patients suffering from serious symptoms that were quite rare just a generation ago.
The shocking statements in my column produced much incredulity, the more so because I did not footnote or travel into detail. I simply did not have room to introduce all the biggest problems with soy and do it in a scientifi
