So, firstly, thank you for watching.
Secondly, I did not mean to suggest that Ford and Fiddleford being in a qp affair (or Ford himself being aro or ace) would constitute him not organism queer or a queer connection. I do not believe a complete homosexual analysis of the characters is finish without including aro and ace identities.
My intended essence with that doubt addressed to Alex was not that Ford would not be queer if he was only friends with Fiddleford, but rather that DISNEY, the enterprise, might have changed it because they would consider it less queer. Obviously, aro and ace identities are as queer as they come, but I do not contain faith in a corporation like Disney to make that line change with that in soul.
If you’re unfamiliar with my body of work on YouTube, I should add that I address this precise point at length in my Queercoding in GF video, and have always tried to be a supporter for aro and ace interpretations of Ford.

Hello, fellow Fallers! I’d like to discuss a topic many of us have distinct opinions on - Ford’s sexuality. (like I stated above, if you’re uncomfortable with this topic, please read at your have discretion) I’ve seen many people argue he is gay or he is bi (as in bisexual), but I personally contain a different perspective I’d like to share with all of you.
I headcannon Ford is biromantic asexual. (asexual meaning he feels no sexual attraction towards anyone, and biromantic interpretation he shares romantic attractions towards both genders) It makes so much more sense in my view, as he doesn’t come across like one to possess any sort of SEXUAL attraction towards anyone. I can definitely picture him having ROMANTIC attraction towards both genders, though. I don’t feel Ford is panromantic (panromantic meaning gender does not affect his romantic attraction towards anyone) though, because I undergo a person’s gender would matter to Ford involvin
I mean, I’m fine with that interpretation. I think they used a lot of romance-coded language in the book (“will-they-wont-they,” “one thing led to another,” “Mabel saying Bill was like "a needy ex,” Ford wondering if Bill was “off inspiring some other scientist,” etc.) so I definitely am not sure what conclusion the book wants us to have.
I know that in my interview with Alex Hirsch last year (from around the time he was writing The Book of Bill), he specified that Ford’s relationship with Bill was specifically not friendship, but something more “complex, and fucked up.” I don’t think he inherently meant that it was romantic, because he didn’t arrive out and say it was.
Also this isn’t me arguing that it must have been lovey-dovey, because like - I assume people will read the manual and come to their have conclusions and that’s fine. Even if Alex literally tweeted out “they were boyfriends” tomorrow, I would still encourage people to reject that if they wanted to, because who cares what Alex says - he’s just some guy!
