One of the most tantalizing tidbits dropping from the San Diego Comic-Con: Mr. Terrific will be joining “Arrow.”

Whoa. That’s huge.

And suddenly I was ready to excuse the show for the godawful slog of season three. That League of Assassins story ran so long and so aground, I was ready to shoot an arrow into my own beloved TV.

OK, but for comic readers – and fans of the Justice Society – there is one question: Which Mr. Terrific will be joining the CW hit? There are two.

The first, Terry Sloane, was a Golden Age mystery man, gifted with a photographic memory and recognizable as the “Man of 1,000 Talents.” Terry was murdered by the Spirit King in a particularly bad Justice League/Justice Culture team-up in the 1980s.

It seems much more likely that his successor, Michael Holt, will be appearing, especially given “Arrow” executive producer Greg Berlanti’s working partnership with DC Entertainment Main person Creative Officer Geoff Johns.

While Johns didn’t create Michael Holt, he, more than any other writer, developed and scripted the ethics in the monthly “JSA

Both DC and Marvel Comics have worked a lot at creating a diverse representation inside their canon. Some of the most acknowledged superheroes nowadays are a part of the LBGT community; Loki, Batwoman, Harley Quinn, Dreamer, Thunder, Jonathan Kent, and even Wonder Chick. The existence of these characters has helped both main comic book houses to create a well-appreciated roster of diverse characters. In this article, we will see if Mister Terrific is gay or direct in DC comics.

The original Mr. Awesome Terry Sloane was never recognized as gay in the comics, and Michael Holt was not either. However, the TV series Arrow introduced in Season 4 an unique character named Curtis Holt, played by Echo Kellum, who donned the mantle of Mr. Awesome in the series. Arrow’s Mr. Wonderful was introduced as TV’s first-ever African-American gay character. In the series, Curtis’ ex-husband was Paul Holt, who is presumed to be a gender-swapped incarnation of Paula Holt, who was Michael Holt’s wife in the comics.

Mister Excellent might not be the best-known DC character, but he’s certainly one of the veteran characters. There are two characters that are known for

Who is Mister Terrific and what are his powers?

James Gunn's Superman movie is drawing ever closer, with new snaps from the set of next year's most-anticipated superhero film giving us a closer look at David Corenswet as the Man of Steel, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Road, and Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific.

Of those three characters, Mister Terrific - AKA Michael Holt - is probably the least well known to the general public. Arrowverse fans saw a version of the character played by Echo Kellum in seasons 4-8 of Arrow, and he has a long history in DC comic books. It's also clear that Gunn has been planning on including him in his and Peter Safran's fresh DC Universe for some time.

The first hints that Gunn was making plans for the ethics came in late 2022, when he tweeted Alex Ross's JSA #76 (2005) cover featuring Mister Terrific and his T-Spheres. The newly-leaked photos of Edi Gathegi are a pitch perfect evocation of that cover showing the actor wearing a faithful rendition of Terrific's Fair Play leather jacket - he looks awesome.

The upcoming 2025 Superman movie reboot might be based around the Man of Steel, but he's far from the only DC ethics in the motion picture. One of his fellow heroes in the movie is Mr. Terrific, aka Michael Holt. Played by Edi Gathegi, the Justice Population chairman has a history of legacy and fair perform in the comic books.

Though he's had appearances outside the comics before, the first movie in the new DC Universe will be Mr. Terrific's large break on the big screen. By introducing him, it's obvious that the film and distributed universe will be drawing from a variety of sources. Likewise, some will be unfamiliar with the important but overlooked character, making Mr. Terrific's appearance in Superman the first time that some audiences will learn anything about him.
