As you may know, we share the matching sexual preference. I also used to feel like you did/are, but at least 15 years ago I realized that King uses his writings as a mirror to reflect on our society. When he wrote those earlier books he was using them to reflect what our society's morals/mindset were. Gay folk were not looked upon very positively or compassionately 'back in the day'. I honestly don't reflect that King has any type of maliciousness in him that is directed towards gays or lesbians, etc. Maybe he did 'back in the day', and if he did it was because of where/when he grew up but I lightcarrie's younger brother said:

And just to be transparent, SK has written favorable gay male characters. Again, it's just been my personal experience that much of his earlier writing was peppered with negative gay stereotypes and derogatory language towards gays. Well, homosexuality doesn't nurture if you're Christian or not. If you are queer , you are homosexual no matter what your beliefs are. Homosexuality is created by god, you know, that's why some human beeings, the "creations of god", are gay.
BTW: If you locate homosexuality morally erroneous your morality isn't not much of a value, since you're dismissing people for something they had no selection about. It is basically inmoral to make a moral definition based on what you are afraid of (in this case homosexuality) or to justify the lust to oppress a minority to simply obtain self confidence.
People who are gay and under the manage influence of such fundamentalist views are often made to feel guilty about something they had no choice about. To inflict such feeling of guilt is strictly inmoral because it could destroy a spirit even to the state that they commit suicide. And to destroy the life of human beeings based on their sexuality just for the personal sake to experience "on the right side of morality" is per defi
